Where Tradition Meets World-Class Ayurvedic Excellence
The story of Bodhi Ayurveda Pharmacy began nearly a century ago traces its roots back to 1925, when E. K.
Kunjan,
a visionary who identified the scarcity of authentic Ayurvedic medicines and raw materials, began preparing and
selling Ayurvedic medicines and raw materials at a time when authentic formulations were rare. The shop Known
locally as “E.K. Kunjan’s Shop”, At a time when Ayurvedic pharmacies were almost unknown, he established a
Raw
material shop and Pharmacy— a lifeline for many Ayurvedic Vaidya’s who sent their prescriptions to him to prepare
medicines with care and precision.
His dedication laid the foundation of trust and authenticity that still defines us. His son, E K
Balachandran,
carried forward this legacy with remarkable sincerity and commitment, earning great respect and immense
goodwill.
In the next generation, His elder son E B Raju, gave the family enterprise its present identity naming it
“Bodhi”
and transforming it into a GMP-certified (since 2003), Trademark-registered (since 2009) and AYUSH-approved
ayurvedic manufacturing company, introducing structured operations, scientific systems, and a visionary
approach
that modernized Bodhi’s heritage.
Today, under the leadership of Dr Rahulraj E R, the fourth generation, Bodhi Ayurveda continues to expand
its
horizons — establishing a renowned Bodhi Ayurveda Hospitals and Research Center that embodies the living
practice
of Ayurveda. Supporting this vision is his brother Gowthamraj E R, whose constant involvement and
dedication
play
a vital role in the growth and operations of the family enterprise.
From generation to generation, Bodhi has remained faithful to one purpose — to preserve, practice, and promote
the
timeless science of Ayurveda with authenticity and excellence.
